About me
The Tibetan word for meditation “Gom” means to become familiar with one’s Self. I feel like this is a great place to start a journey. My whole life I have been exploring the who, what, why, and how, of the “I am”. Trying to become familiar with my-Self. The closer I get, the more vague “I” become. I have looked through many perspectives now, in this one life, which has expanded understanding. Starting in childhood as a cattle rancher, I learned of the cycles of life and death, a practice in impermanence. As well a journey in high-level athletics, to explore the limits of the physical body and the interrelation with the minds beliefs. Pushing into high risk physical sports, to explore death and altered states of mind that arise in those moments. Chasing social and financial success to achieve happiness, to discover that it doesn’t reside there. Rebuilding a broken body numerous times with the practice of Yoga and healing modalities was a gateway to altered states of mind. Meditation created a less reactive mind that opened the possibility to become familiar with my thoughts and actions, and the growth of changing them.
I would love to share skills from experiences that can bring more awareness that can create a life with more ease and joy.
